Get a Taste of the Business World
he University of La Réunion, a higher teaching and research institution, is a natural breeding ground for capacity and know-how, obviously with interest for local, regional and national socio-economic operators, as evidenced by the growing number of private companies choosing to contribute their apprenticeship tax to the University—and its training curricula.
Aware of the necessity to foster interaction between production, promotion and application of knowledge, the University of La Réunion establishes privileged links with economic operators. These special relations can be partnerships with University laboratories, where a whole range of expertise and competence can be found.
Each year the University of La Réunion trains over 11,000 students—so many people who can be offered placements during their studies or recruited by company managers after graduation. The link between acquisition of theoretical knowledge and its application is always a necessity for successful professional integration of young graduates.
By offering an ever wider range of curricula (especially through the implementation of the LMD reform), the University of La Réunion wants to give students adequate qualifications for the job market. Making courses more job-oriented is one answer to the demands of the working world. Developing curricula with a future—therefore with numerous job opportunities—is another.
Through its Vocational Training Department, the University of La Réunion also offers an array of training schemes for people wishing to turn to a new, better type of employment or complement their initial schooling for better performance and efficiency in their working positions.
