Training summary
The MEEF Master's degree in literature, history and geography aims to prepare students for the recruitment competition for the Certificate of Aptitude for Teaching in Vocational High Schools (CAPLP) in literature, history and geography, enabling them to teach these subjects in vocational high schools. The aim of this master's degree is to develop the skills needed to teach French, history, geography and Moral and Civic Education (EMC) in vocational high schools.
Training objectives
This course is aimed at students wishing to train as teachers of literature, history and geography.
It allows them to follow a set of diversified courses allowing them to acquire and develop professional skills, to prepare for external CAPLP civil service recruitment competitions in history letters and to learn about and through research in the field of training in history and geography.
The training is based on an integrative logic linking courses and teaching content. Disciplinary and didactic learning are combined so that students can move from distanced reflection to professional practice.
The history-geography course offers, like all MEEF courses, a common core allowing students to access a shared culture, specific to the professions of teaching, education and training in the Reunion context.

• Know the profession of teaching civil servant of the State and the teaching of these two disciplines in a specific school environment

• Contextualize the knowledge and skills acquired as part of the specific preparation for competitive examinations
• Know how to analyze professional practices
• Know how to present and support a professional dissertation.
