This seminar explores spectral discourses and presences in Réunion and Okinawa. This comparative approach aims to reveal the significance of the voices of ghosts that permeate daily life and shape a particular relationship to the world in these two islands. By paying attention to what these ghosts reveal about us and our societies, the goal is to step back from dominant epistemologies in order to listen to another way of experiencing the world and to discover within ourselves new sensitivities to the living world.
