In Extreme Private Eros: Love Song, photographer and director Kazuo Hara paints a provocative and offbeat portrait of his ex-girlfriend Miyuki Takeda. It follows her in her new relationships in Okinawa (first with a woman then with a black American GI), when she gives birth to a mixed-race child and more broadly in her life as a declared feminist in Japan in the 70s.

Hara's out-of-sync sound and hand-held photography create an intimate cinema in tune with the radicality of his character.
