Clean Up Day Coastline of the Holy Land
ESIROI, in collaboration with the Ambroise Vollard high school and the Terre Sainte college, is organizing a Clean Up Day on the coast of Terre Sainte in Saint Pierre.
This Clean Up Day will take place on Friday April 14 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the coast of Terre Sainte in Saint Pierre.
Throughout the morning, groups will be formed (student pairs) to collect plastic and glass bottles, cans and other packaging.
CIVIS, partner of the event, supports the action:
- By providing the necessary equipment for waste collection (gloves, pliers, trash bags, etc.);
- By taking charge of collecting and weighing the bags;
- By carrying out an awareness-raising operation on waste sorting and recycling among young people before collection
- By offering participants recycled notebooks
An awareness stand will be set up and manned by young people at the assembly point. This stand will notably present various works carried out by students on the theme of waste management.
This cleaning operation near schools is a way to raise awareness among young people in Reunion to take care of their immediate environment, but also to involve them in local life and in the protection of our island.
