The exhibition of native plants in alcohol highlights the morphological structure of precious botanical specimens that are often unknown to the general public. The aim of this exhibition is to highlight the richness of the local flora.
This collection is the result of two years of harvesting across the island. Some of the plants featured are extremely rare, sometimes known only in a single locality. Carefully preserved, to study and understand, and then better preserve our forests.
The exhibition is aimed at anyone who wishes to discover the diversity and beauty of the plants that have inhabited our island for millennia. It does not claim to present all the native flora, but seeks above all to reveal a part of it, somewhere between rarity and splendor.
Exhibition visible until September 12 at the audiovisual and digital culture department – Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences – Moufia Campus
On September 08, a presentation of the association Sur les Traces de Thérésien Cadet and the actions carried out will be offered, accompanied by a guided discovery of the exhibition.
