As part of the Scientific Film Festival, the film “The Extraordinary Research of Doctor Cartault” will be screened in the presence of director Thierry Gentet. The film tells the incredible research of François Cartault, pediatrician and geneticist on the island of Reunion. Carried out as a police investigation for more than 20 years, his research, both medical and historical, takes us on the paths of the illness of the children of the moon, deprived of sunlight, and on the traces of slavery in Africa. The film shows how genetics is also an astonishing tracer of great History.
