A video conference for

Great Women of History 1920 Mexico is a country in ruins, Vasconcelos intends to reconstruct Mexican identity by favoring literacy, awareness of a common memory, history and culture. The revolution played a large role in the reappropriation of art as the instrument of a new national identity, at the service of the people, in rejection of European influences. After a serious accident, Frida leaves the hospital after a month. She begins a long period of immobilization in corsets, on a four-poster bed on the canopy of which her mother hangs a mirror. The latter had a special easel made so that Frida could draw and paint more comfortably. She discovers this art by examining herself, discovering herself. Existential and aesthetic quest are intertwined. This issue of his own identity will remain the very essence of his art throughout his career. I invite you to discover the life of this painter, the emblem of the committed and free woman.
