The University of Reunion and its partners are pleased to organize the inauguration of the technological platforms of the TrétZerbaj project, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, starting at 09:00 a.m. at CYROI.
TrétZerbaj is an innovative project led by the University of Réunion Island and supported by the French government. A winner of the France 2030 – Overseas Innovation Plan program, it aims to promote medicinal plants from Réunion Island through an approach combining ethnopharmacology, scientific research, and economic development. It focuses on the health sector, particularly the fight against infectious diseases, as well as the agri-food and cosmetics sectors.
The event will mark the official commissioning of two major technological tools of the project:
The Reunion Extract Library: a bank of plant extracts from Reunion's biodiversity with high potential for development.
The High-Throughput Screening Platform: enabling in-depth analysis of the therapeutic and bioactive potential of natural extracts.
