This event will not only allow a wide audience to benefit from the perspective of a recognized expert on a current issue but also to raise awareness of the CPES. It will discuss the links between immigration and populism and the vicious circles in this relationship.

The speaker

Hillel RAPOPORT is Professor of Economics at the Paris School of Economics (PSE) and at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and a senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France. He holds the PSE Chair in International Migration Economics and is Director of International Relations at PSE. His research interests are international economics, development economics and migration economics.

Since 2008, he has been the scientific coordinator of the annual conferences "Migration and Development" of the World Bank and the French Development Agency. In particular, he published a book in 2018 entitled "Repenser l'immigration en France : An economic point of view".
