Goals

The objectives of this conference, organized by the pioneers of research on living together at the University of Reunion, are broken down into four points:

  • The first objective is to promote and compare studies carried out in Reunion and the Indian Ocean on living together with research carried out in other civilizational and cultural spaces on this notion.
  • The second objective is to reflect on the application of the results of scientific research relating to the notion of living together and their issues in the institutional framework of political, educational, medical, social, judicial authorities, etc.
  • The third objective is to think of living together in our contemporary societies as a prerequisite for peace. Can research on this notion contribute to the development of a new framework of thought conducive to fueling research and training programs relating to world peace?
  • The fourth objective will consist of opening a sharing space to economic, cultural and social associations, international NGOs, creators and artists in order to better understand how their actions and creations embrace the notion of living together. We hope lots of you come.
