Lémuria, a film to discover in the 200.1 amphitheater
A film by Marine Hervé.
Synopsis: Once upon a time there was Lemuria... This submerged continent between India and Madagascar of which Reunion is said to be a vestige, is a myth shaped in particular by the writer Jules Hermann who claimed to see traces of it in the reliefs of the island. Today Lemuria is above all a modern myth still under construction in the works of generations of artists of all kinds. By inviting us to dream of the connection to our territory, to free self-expression, to mix the historical and the imaginary, could Lemuria be a peaceful way to reinvent a fragmented identity intrinsic to Creoleness?
After the screening of this 52-minute documentary, director Marine Hervé will be present to discuss her film.
This director from Reunion Island will discuss her creative journey, her career and more broadly the Cinema of our island in full expansion.
