This exhibition is a project of the Saint-Denis town hall to bring Reunion culture to life. Its objective: to recall a significant number of books, most of the time in Reunion Creole, those that the “Les chemins de la liberté” editions have published.

The Paths to Freedom: Kossa i lé?

It is a group of friends, around Firmin Lacaptia, an association whose aim is to republish little-known books and to publish others which could not have been published otherwise. These “maron” editions were born in 1970. They have published around twenty books, almost all in Reunion Creole, almost all illustrated with beautiful screen prints.
