Closing seminar of the DETECT project
Thursday April 06 from 13:00 p.m. - Moufia Campus
Thursday April 6, 2023 from 13:00 p.m. to 16:00 p.m. in Amphitheater C on the Moufia Campus, take part in the closing seminar of the DETECT project
(The seminar can be followed online via a zoom link provided later)
In Reunion, the objective of a carbon-free energy mix by 2030 is largely based on the massive integration of intermittent energies into the electricity network. The growth in photovoltaic (PV) capacity, an orientation encouraged by regional policy, is based on the spread of hybrid conversion and storage systems on a domestic scale. With the multiplication of systems and the aging of the fleet, the risk of failures increases, which can lead to losses in performance and profitability. This project aims to implement innovative technical solutions to detect, isolate and identify faults that could lead to these failures. These solutions should make it possible to improve the energy efficiency of PV systems by anticipating maintenance operations to limit the risk of failure.
The deployment of these solutions on a large scale is based on the use of inexpensive technologies, making it possible to install diagnostic modules while limiting the installation of additional sensors in situ. Validation of the developed modules will be carried out in the laboratory on emulated systems, driven by power signals, prior to testing on installations.
Objectives:
The objective of the project is to develop distributed technical solutions to analyze the state of health of hybrid systems, in particular PV systems, installed in humid tropical environments. The solutions developed must make it possible to anticipate maintenance operations and limit the risk of failure.
As a secondary objective, the project makes it possible to centralize, record and aggregate electrical and climatic data to make them available to the scientific community and the territory's energy stakeholders.
results:
The 3 main results of the project are:
- Simulations: evaluation of diagnostic module performance
- Validation: laboratory tests on emulated systems and on real systems, developed modules
- Database: aggregation of climate and electrical data, intended for the scientific community and energy stakeholders
Funding:
The DETECT project is co-financed by the European Union and the Réunion Region.
