Meeting and helping relationship in the clinical practice of the psychologist Ms. Geneviève Payet, Clinical Psychologist, Honorary President of the VIF Network

There is a helping relationship because there is a relationship, there is a relationship because there is an encounter. The clinic maintains a difficult and complex relationship with what is at stake in the encounter (the way in which we get involved or not, and the way in which we can report on it). It questions the dynamics of intersubjectivity, its expression, its modalities, its usefulness, its content, everything that makes movement. And, at the same time, the clinic listens to everything that signals, clearly or obscurely, in the space and time where understanding between oneself and oneself, oneself and the other, can unfold. This is how the clinical practice of the psychologist makes it possible to identify how to see and therefore hear, to also identify what needs to be done to help others to say themselves and potentially contribute to what they say ( re-)finds.
