Description of the WEU

The objective of this UEO is to present the main features of Taoist thought by placing it in its historical context. Taoism is certainly an enigma. The Way, Dao, seems an untranslatable notion. The wise are characters full of paradoxes. The bet is made that in reality the message of this philosophy is not only understandable but relevant to thinking about the challenges of our time. The course therefore evokes the works of the great thinkers of antiquity, Laozi, Zhuangzi, Lièzi, while striving to dialogue with each one. What use should one make of one's life, one's word, one's talents?
