Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC)
Le Test Of English for International Communication (TOEIC) Institutional Program is an English certification for internal use at the University of La Réunion which measures written and oral comprehension skills (Listening et Reading) and determines whether a person can communicate in English effectively and fluently in a professional context.
Duration: score certificate valid for two years.
Levels assessed: beginner to experienced (10 to 990 points).
- A1: beginner user – elementary: 120 points
- A2: elementary – intermediate user: 225 points
- B1: independent user: 550 points
- B2: independent user – advanced: 785 points
- C1: experienced user – autonomous: 945 points

Oral comprehension (45 minutes) : Listening
- Candidates listen to different questions and short conversations recorded in English, then answer questions about what they heard.
- Various recordings of statements, questions and brief conversations in English.
- Answers to 100 questions based on your listening.
- Photographs: 6 questions
- Q&A: 25 questions
- Short conversations: 39 questions (13 conversations / 3 questions per conversation)
- Short presentations: 30 questions (10 presentations / 3 questions per presentation)
Written comprehension (75 minutes): Reading
- Candidates read different documents and then answer questions about what they have read.
- Various documents to read.
- You will answer 100 questions based on your reading.
- Incomplete sentences: 30 questions
- Incomplete texts > 16 questions (4 texts / 4 questions per text)
- Written comprehension: 29 questions on 9 “solo” texts + 10 questions on 2 “duos” of texts (5 questions per duo) + 15 questions on 3 “trios” of texts (5 questions per trio)

Registration conditions
To register for the exams, users will be asked to complete STRICTLY an online application form and attach a student card (university student) or professional card (university staff), for a limited period (limited places). Appointment requests will no longer be processed by telephone.
La Maison Des Langues will schedule an appointment for registration and payment.
