How to vote?
The staff elections will take place on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 09:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. (Reunion time) without interruption.
To vote, you will need to present (your choice):
- National Identity Card
- passport
- driver's license
- residence permit
Proxy voting
Voters who are unable to vote in person have the option of exercising their right to vote through a proxy, by giving them a power of attorney to vote in their place. The principal is the one who gives the proxy and the proxy is the one who receives the proxy.
The proxy must be registered on the same electoral roll as the principal (same college, same polling station) and cannot receive more than two proxies.
A voter may request a change of polling station to be linked to that of their proxy. This type of request constitutes a request for rectification of the electoral roll, which may be made in accordance with the procedures set out in Article 6-4 above.
Conditions of validity of the power of attorney
For a power of attorney to be valid, it must meet the following criteria:
- it must be established on the numbered form issued by the establishment; it cannot be written on plain paper;
- it must be written legibly and must include the name and surname of the agent;
- it must be signed by the principal;
- it must not be crossed out or overloaded.
Terms and conditions for withdrawing the printed material (electronically and in person)
The withdrawal and delivery of the printed form establishing the power of attorney can be done electronically or in person.
- By electronic means:
- To obtain the form establishing the proxy electronically, you should send your proxy request by email to the address: elections@univ-reunion.fr, attaching
- a copy of one of the following valid identity documents: national identity card, passport, driving license, residence permit
- In order to ensure the efficient processing of powers of attorney, it is strongly recommended that the principal specify “proxy request” in the subject of their email.
- Requests must come from a professional email address or from an email address recognized by the University of La Réunion (address of the University domain or any other partner research organization)
- The completed form must be returned electronically to elections@univ-reunion.fr, at the latest the day before the elections, or Monday April 14, 2025, no later than 16:00 p.m. (Reunion time)
- In person
- The form can be collected in person between 08:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. and 13:30 p.m. and 16:30 p.m. (Reunion time) from the Legal and Institutional Affairs Department of the University of Reunion, located in building B, level -1, office B108 of the central administration in Moufia at 15, avenue René Cassin CS 92003 97744 Saint-Denis Cedex 9.
- The principal (the person giving power of attorney) must present one of the following valid forms of identity: passport, driving license, identity card or residence permit
The attention of principals is particularly drawn to the time limits for managing powers of attorney; principals are therefore invited to anticipate their requests for powers of attorney.
The institution establishes and maintains a list of proxies specifying the principals and agents. A summary of the list of proxies is sent to the polling stations by the administrative services.
In accordance with the voting procedures specified in Article 9-1, the proxy signs the attendance list for each of his principals.
