Furthermore, it equips leaders with strategic expertise enabling them to support change within SSE organizations and the public sector, taking into account the current challenges and opportunities of this business model and its local context.

This training program includes several interconnected modules:

  • Acquisition of the theories and foundations of the social and solidarity economy (SSE)
  • Social economy enterprise strategy
  • Social and solidarity economy and public management (public policies, institutional relations, etc.)
  • Management of social economy organizations (social marketing, accounting, etc.) specific to different statuses (associations, cooperatives, mutuals and foundations)
  • Management and leadership (HRM, change management)
  • Shared governance (collective intelligence and participatory democracy)

Educational objectives and training opportunities

Educational goals :

The Master's program in Sectoral Management, MOESS track, pursues the following objectives:

  • Acquire the fundamentals of management and administration specific to social economy organizations (accounting, social marketing, strategy, HR).
  • To train managers capable of designing and leading organizational strategies adapted to public policies and complex and constrained environments.
  • Develop a cross-cutting vision of the social and solidarity economy by integrating economic, legal, financial, social and political dimensions.
  • Supporting professional trajectories, whether in career development or reorientation.

Training opportunities:

The MOESS Master's program is offered in partnership with the Regional Chamber of Social and Solidarity Economy to address the need for high-level skills among leaders in the region. Indeed, given the significant increase in the number of social and solidarity economy (SSE) enterprises and the growing number of elected officials and managers responsible for public services dedicated to the SSE (local authorities, government departments, etc.), it is now essential to equip managers with strategic and forward-looking tools to navigate various transitions within a local development framework. This is all the more crucial in a region facing significant socio-economic challenges and constraints.

  • Research paper : supervised individual work, allowing the student to develop critical thinking on an issue related to their academic or professional project.
  • Case study: a group situation that requires students to combine different management disciplines around a complex problem.
  • Seminars and supervised projects: group work with written and oral presentation, promoting the practical application of acquired knowledge and the affirmation of the student's role in a project.
