The Master 2nd year Accounting – Control – Audit (M2 CCA) work-study program aims to provide students/trainees with a solid and recognized university education in accounting professions (accounting, finance, management control, auditing) supported by the acquisition of ancillary skills (law, economics, IT, digital tools, language, sustainable development, etc.).

Furthermore, the work-study route provides a way to integrate this training into a practical relationship which constitutes a genuine professional experience, because, in general, the positions held during the work-study period are positions of responsibility.

 

Educational objectives and training opportunities

Educational goals :

To prepare for careers in auditing, management control, accounting and consulting in accounting and auditing firms or within a company's financial department.

Within these different professions, the goal is to secure learning pathways, improve the success rate and increase the integration rate of graduates from work-study programs.

 

Training opportunities:

The Master2 CCA supplies the local job market with employees at bac+5 level for two types of positions: accounting staff in accounting firms (some of whom will become chartered accountants and/or auditors) and management staff in companies (accountants, chief accountants, administrative and financial directors, management controllers, internal controllers, internal auditors, etc.).

The IAE (Master's in Accounting, Control, and Auditing) has a long-standing partnership with the Regional Council of the Order of Chartered Accountants (CROEC) and the Regional Company of Auditors (CRCC). The local accounting profession has a strong need for staff with a Master's degree (Bac+5) for assignments in accounting firms (accounting expertise and statutory financial auditing).

Furthermore, companies in various sectors (banking, large retailers, insurance, construction, etc.) regularly offer apprenticeship contracts in order to recruit locally, train or develop the skills of their employees in the fields of finance, accounting, management control and internal control.

Expectations for admission to the training program

  • A good level of expertise, particularly in subjects relevant to the core profession: Accounting, management control, auditing, corporate finance, taxation, and law. Demonstrated progress throughout post-secondary education.
  • Demonstrate consistency between academic background, professional project and training; also justify the choice of territory.
  • Having good technical skills in accounting, including a complete mastery of statutory accounting, a good knowledge of the principles of analytical accounting and a mastery of the basics of corporate finance as well as business law.
  • To promote the diversity of one's experiences and background.
  • Achieving a good score on the SCORE IAE test

General criteria for reviewing applications

  • Particular attention is paid to teachers' notes and comments on post-baccalaureate reports, especially in finance, accounting, control, and auditing.
  • A cover letter justifying the consistency with the professional project, having completed relevant internships.
  • The candidate's internships and academic background can support this.
  • The CV will allow you to illustrate your involvement in associations, for example, the practice of sports, cultural activities, or various leisure activities.
  • Particular attention is paid to the result on the logical part of the test

Recommended qualifications for admission to the training program

  • For candidates continuing their studies: having completed an M1 CCA and being admitted to an M2 CCA
  • Regarding candidates returning to studies: they must hold at least a bac+3 in accounting (Diploma of Accounting and Management – ​​DCG) or a related field (economics, business school, law, computer science) AND have at least two years of professional experience in the field.

Depending on the student's situation, applications for admission to the first year of the Master's program (M1) follow three specific procedures (the national platform MonMaster, Études en France, Validation of Acquired Experience).
