Training summary
The Master's degree in Business Law is a prestigious program designed to train generalist lawyers who can seamlessly integrate into the Réunion Island economy. The curriculum is highly professional and focused on the practical application of law, particularly in the second year (M2).
Many of the speakers are seasoned legal professionals.
In the first year of the Master's program (M1), students complete a thesis or undertake an internship. In the second year of the Master's program (M2), they complete an internship of at least two months, as well as a research thesis.

Educational goals :
The program aims to train business law practitioners who can apply their generalist skills to the Réunion Island economy. The first year of the Master's program (Master 1) provides students with a foundational understanding of business law. The second year (Master 2) focuses on strengthening this knowledge and, more importantly, applying it from a practical perspective. Significant time is therefore dedicated to simulations and case studies.
At the same time, the training provides excellent preparation for the bar exam, as evidenced by the high success rate of students from the Master's program in business law.

Course Description
The training is general in business law. It therefore covers the main subjects relating to company law.
In Master 1: law of securities, business contracts, tax law, accounting, private international law, general regime of obligations, insurance law, banking law, commercial lease and goodwill law, corporate structures, law of companies in difficulty, competition law.
In Master 2: Contractual techniques, corporate techniques, consumer law, distribution law, tax law, accounting, business criminal law, practice of companies in difficulty.
The first year of the Master's program takes the form of lectures, some of which are accompanied by tutorials.
The second year of the Master's program is not just a year where students accumulate knowledge that they simply recite on exam day. It is a year where students apply their knowledge and acquire new skills.

Specific teaching methods
Internships and supervised projects
In Master 1, students undertake an internship of a minimum duration of one month, or a thesis.
In Master 2, students complete an internship of a minimum duration of two months, and a dissertation.
The internships are supervised by the thesis director, an academic, and a professional, the internship supervisor.
The dissertations are supervised by a university professor.
