Course Description
The Master in Human Resources Management at IAE Réunion offers a progressive training program, structured around two complementary years (M1 and M2) and delivered in a work-study format to strengthen the link between academic knowledge and professional practices.
Master 1:
The first year of the Master's program (M1) aims to consolidate the fundamentals of human resource management and management:
- Core subjects : labor law, sociology of organizations, economics and business strategy, quantitative tools applied to HR.
- Basic HR skills : recruitment, training, career management, compensation policies.
- Professional opening : communication workshops, project management, discovery of HR practices in context.
Master 2:
The second year of the Master's program (M2) deepens areas of expertise and develops a strategic approach:
- Specialized teaching units : social dialogue, CSR and diversity management.
- Managerial dimension : leadership, management of complex projects, analysis of practices.
- Pedagogical approaches : case studies, negotiation simulations, group projects, professional conferences.
- Research paper : writing and defending a dissertation, allowing the development of critical analysis and formalization skills, in connection with current issues in the HR function.
The entire program is based on an active teaching approach combining lectures, interactive seminars, interventions by professionals and company missions, allowing students to acquire both solid academic knowledge and directly applicable operational skills.

- The analysis will focus in particular on the quality and consistency of the results obtained in subjects related to management and human resources, as well as on the progress observed during the post-baccalaureate course.
- The cover letter should explain the rationale behind the career path, the applicant's knowledge of the training program, and the relevance of the professional project in relation to human resources professions.
- The assessment will take into account the skills acquired through professional experience, internships, projects or collective missions, demonstrating the ability to work in a team, to analyze management situations and to propose appropriate solutions.
- The analysis will take into account the quality of the writing, the rigor of the file, the clarity of expression and the attitudes observable through the experiences described (responsibility, empathy, stress management, collaborative spirit)
- Cultural, sporting, volunteer or associative activities, as well as international or entrepreneurial experiences, will be considered as assets.
Recommended qualifications for admission to the training program
The recommended degree qualifications for admission to the program are primarily:
- Bachelor's degree in Management (particularly Human Resources track);
- Bachelor's degree in Economic and Social Administration (AES);
- Law degree;
- Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences (sociology, psychology, economics, etc.) with a focus on organizations and work.
Other equivalent qualifications may be considered provided that the candidate's career goals and prior learning are consistent with the HR specialization. For example: the Accounting and Management Diploma.
