Educational goals :
- To train local managers in care, accommodation or training institutes capable of supporting the implementation of institutional or educational projects.
- Promote the acquisition of a common culture among all managers in order to enrich collaborative practices between the health and social care sectors.
Training opportunities:
The training program integrates healthcare professionals from Réunion and Mayotte, primarily from the paramedical or midwifery fields, who aspire to become frontline managers in healthcare services. This training is combined with the State Diploma for Healthcare Managers. (CDS) This program allows for career advancement within healthcare facilities. Recruitment is focused on the territories of Réunion and Mayotte. This training program is unique in mainland France and its overseas territories.

Total training hours: 840 hours from September to June (over 10 months) and 455 hours of internship

Analysis of practices and introduction to research:

- Stage 2 (3 weeks in a healthcare or social care facility)

Advanced Studies | Stage 4 and Dissertation Defense
Active and deductive teaching methods are favoured, emphasizing reflective practice, project management and the collective intelligence of learners.

Specific teaching methods
Internships and supervised projects
Several internships are planned. A total of 13 weeks (455 hours) across 4 internships:
- An initial 3-week internship (internship 1): Introduction to the management role (outside the health or medico-social sector)
- A second 3-week internship (internship 2): Managerial role in healthcare (Healthcare or medico-social establishment)
- A third 3-week internship (internship 3): Teaching role in healthcare (Health Training Institute)
- A fourth 4-week internship (internship 4): Advanced internship in Management or Pedagogy
Cost of training
Registration fees are set annually by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Space and are available on our institution's website: Register at the University of Reunion
For continuing education trainees, in addition to national rights:
- Individual fee: 8,000 euros
- Employer agreement: 8,000 euros
