The MEEF mathematics, physical and chemical sciences is structured, like all MEEF courses, around a common core allowing students to access a shared culture specific to the professions of teaching, education and training in Reunion context.

Training aims

This course is aimed at students wishing to train as teachers of mathematics and physical and chemical sciences in vocational high schools. It offers a set of courses enabling the acquisition and development of professional skills, preparation for the external civil service recruitment competition (CAPLP in mathematics - physical and chemical sciences) and training through research in the fields relating to education.

The training is based on an integrative logic linking courses and teaching content. Disciplinary and didactic learning are combined so that students can gradually move from distanced reflection to professional practice.

Advantages of the training

The MEEF Master's degree in mathematics, physical and chemical sciences at the National Higher Institute of Teaching and Education (INSPE) in Reunion Island has the advantages of allowing students to learn progressively and through work-study training. teaching profession. It offers students a four-semester course, allowing the validation of a national Master MEEF diploma.

Recruitment competitions are organized at the end of the second year of the Master's degree.

To become a middle or high school teacher, passing the competitive exam is a mandatory step which requires good knowledge, both practical and theoretical.
