Training summary
The Master MEEF PIF Creole Languages and Cultures is aimed at students wishing to train as Creole language teachers in middle and high schools and in cultural mediation professions.
In Master 1, students receive teaching which consolidates their university knowledge and initial educational and professional training (knowledge of the educational system, didactic initiation, knowledge of needs, places of cultural and intercultural mediation).
In Master 2, students deepen their knowledge of Creole language teaching and Reunion cultural heritage and clarify their professional choices between teaching and cultural mediation professions for internships.
In Master 1, students receive teaching which consolidates their university knowledge and initial educational and professional training (knowledge of the educational system, didactic initiation, knowledge of needs, places of cultural and intercultural mediation).
In Master 2, students deepen their knowledge of Creole language teaching and Reunion cultural heritage and clarify their professional choices between teaching and cultural mediation professions for internships.
Training aims
The Creole languages and cultures course is aimed at students wishing to train as Creole language teachers in middle and high schools and in cultural mediation professions.
Concerning the profession of Creole language teacher, this course allows you to follow a set of courses allowing you to acquire and develop professional skills to teach Creole and another valence (literature, English, Spanish) and to prepare for external civil service recruitment competitions (Certificate of Aptitude for Second Degree Teaching (CAPES) Creole.
This course also allows you to acquire in-depth knowledge of Creole-speaking areas (history, civilization, environment, society, culture), necessary for cultural mediation professions.
Students will be able to learn about and through research related to the fields of teaching, training, creolistics and cultural mediation.
The training is based on an integrative logic linking courses and teaching content. Depending on their professional projects, students will be able to choose their internship locations between educational establishments and places of cultural mediation (museum, cultural institution, association, etc.).

Intership
The job observation and adaptation internships last six weeks spread over two semesters of the academic year of Master 1 and Master 2. Students carry out their professional internships in educational establishments and in places of cultural mediation, under the responsibility of an internship supervisor designated by the structure.
The discovery of the two places (local public educational establishment and cultural structures) will allow students to choose a professional project.
