Training summary

The STPE RNET Master offers to train scientists at Baccalaureate +5 level in the applied and fundamental fields of atmospheric and climate sciences or geomatics and remote sensing applied to geosciences, always in tropical regions.

Training aims

Four courses can be selected by the student:

1. Atmosphere / Climate (AC)

2. Geomatics and Remote Sensing (GT)

3. Geophysics

4. Hydrogeology, soil and environment

Note that only routes 1 and 2 are entirely in Reunion.
The training is linked to the exceptional natural specificities of Reunion and the Indian Ocean, relying on internationally recognized laboratories in the fields of observation and management of the environment, risks and territories. tropical.
Whatever the chosen path, the RNET Master emphasizes the permanent link between observation, measurements (field, laboratory, observatories, Earth observation satellites), their processing, their modeling and their operational integration . For this reason, training is shared between disciplines close to observation and fieldwork and others more quantitative.

Advantages of the training

Course also linked to the Observatory of Sciences of the Universe of Reunion (OSUR)

Participation each year in lessons and activities outside the model: The Climate fresco and geomatics days.

Targeted skills

The RNET Master has an original character due to its interdisciplinarity since it combines the knowledge necessary to understand measurement by remote sensing and geomatics instruments with various applications in the field of atmosphere, hydrology, geophysics and geography.

The skills can be implemented in the context of professions related to research, teaching and management of the environment, territories and risks in a context of climate change and adaptation.
