The information relates to all devices and international mobility programs offered by the University of Reunion Island, such as exchanges within the framework of bilateral agreements, studies, internships etc.

Types of allowances

Erasmu + and European Union logos

This mobility grant is intended for all students pre-selected by their department within the framework of the Erasmus+ program. (without conditions of nationality or resources).

This aid to the study mobility It consists of two parts:

1- Contribution to accommodation costs


Study mobility:

The amount of the allowance is €26.20 per day. This is a partial allowance, which does not cover the entire duration of your stay.  

Please note : the overall envelope granted to the University of La Réunion does not allow for 100% financing of the students' stay. A university commission decides on the amounts granted to students based on the available budgets. 

For example, for the year 2024/2025, students who left for one semester received an allowance of 96 days, or €2515, and students who left for one year received an allowance of 165 days, or €4323.


Internship mobility in Europe:

The monthly allowance (786 €) is as follows:

  • 2 monthly payments if the duration of the internship is between 2 months and 4 months (i.e. between 60 and 120 days),
  • 3 monthly payments if the duration of the internship is strictly greater than 4 months and less than or equal to 6 months (i.e. between 121 and 180 days),
  • 4 monthly payments if the duration of the internship is strictly greater than 6 months (i.e. greater than 181 days).
Internship mobility outside Europe:

The monthly allowance (700€) is as follows:

  • 2 monthly payments if the duration of the internship is between 2 months and 4 months (i.e. between 60 and 120 days),
  • 3 monthly payments if the duration of the internship is strictly greater than 4 months and less than or equal to 6 months (i.e. between 121 and 180 days),
  • 4 monthly payments if the duration of the internship is strictly greater than 6 months (i.e. greater than 181 days). 

Please note: for internships carried out outside Europe  available funding is limited.


2- Travel package (as a resident of an overseas department)

Added to this is a round-trip travel package from Reunion to Europe, with a fixed amount varying according to the mileage between the University of Reunion (Moufia campus) and the host university. (see https://erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu/fr/resources-and-tools/distance-calculator)

Payment method

The Erasmus+ grant is paid in two installments, namely: 

  • 80% of the allowance at the start of mobility and 100% of the travel package
  • 20% upon your return upon presentation of the end of stay certificate completed and signed by the partner university and the completeness of the online Erasmus+ questionnaire.

The aid from the Regional Council of Réunion is awarded according to criteria set by that body. It is intended for students who meet the following conditions:

  • Be registered at the University of Reunion
  • Provide proof of tax household in Reunion for more than 2 years
  • Provide proof of French nationality or be a national of the European Union
  • Be under 28 years of age on October 1 of the year of mobility. 
  • Have a taxable income of less than €95/year.

The amount of aid varies depending on the destination country. It is available to CROUS scholarship holders and non-scholarship holders.

The request must be made via the mobility assistance form available on the Student portal

Application files are centralized by the International Relations and Regional Cooperation Department (SRICR) but the management of this mobility assistance (allocation commission, payment, etc.) is managed directly by the Regional Council. 

The Regional Council will send us the certificate of eligibility containing the amount of the grant awarded, which the International Relations and Regional Cooperation Service (SRICR) will send individually to the students.

  • Mobility between August and November: Deadline for submission: June 13
  • Mobility between December and March: Deadline for sending before departure on mobility, the November 21
  • Mobility between April and June: Deadline for submission before departure on mobility, March 21
Payment terms
  • 70% at the start of mobility
  • 30% upon your return after sending to the International Relations and Regional Cooperation Department (SRICR) a 5-page mobility report and your end-of-stay certificate completed and signed by the partner university. 

This aid only concerns social scholarship students from Higher Education with a scholarship notification for the year 2025/2026.

Mobility must be mandatory in the academic curriculum and validated by the teaching team; it must take place abroad for a minimum duration of 2 months and be unpaid.

The award of this scholarship is not automatic and is based on various criteria.

The amount of the allowance is approximately €13.33 per day. This is a partial allowance, which does not cover the entire duration of your stay. 

The selection and the number of months of scholarship awarded are made by a university commission arbitrating between the files.

Selection criteria: previous academic results, cost of living in the host country, additional financial aid received by the student. 

For information, students who went on mobility in 2024/2025 received 120 days of scholarship (i.e. €1600)

Important: Students receiving grants based on social criteria continue to receive their grant during their Erasmus+ mobility.

  • Mobility between August and December: Deadline for submission: June 13 (scholarship notification to be sent no later than August 19);
  • Mobility between December and March: Deadline for submission: November 21
  • Mobility between April and June: Deadline for submission: March 21
Payment terms

Mobility assistance will only be paid if you refer to the International Relations and Regional Cooperation Service (SRICR):

  • A certificate of arrival at the start of the stay completed and signed by the host university
  • An end of stay certificate completed and signed by the host university

LADOM Réunion offers: The mobility passport

For study abroad opportunities to one of the 27 member states of the European Union (This mainly concerns Erasmus+ students). The International Relations Service (SRICR) provides, at the student's request, a certificate indicating that the student is going on a mobility program.

The file must be compiled and submitted directly to LADOM
