Doing an international internship
Doing international internships as part of your studies is threefold important:
- This first of all shows the increased openness of the University towards the professional and economic world. More and more courses are making internships compulsory in the university curriculum, in order to make the bridge between the world of knowledge and that of business easier.
- The personal contribution of the international internship will obviously have beneficial effects for the student in their transition to professional life.
- The internship will also have an impact, if returned to the island, on the development of the island's economy.

You must contact your head of International Relations of your training. This is funding from the European Union which can be combined with other aid (Cf. financial aid for mobility).
- The student approaches their educational supervisor to support them in their internship project and their internship location in order to establish their internship agreement and have it signed.
- The student submits a application on the portal at least 3 months before the start of their internship, by filling out the "International Internship Mobility Application Form" so that the SRI can check the available funding, adding their internship agreement signed at a minimum by the University of Reunion Island and the student.
- The student prints the form generated from the portal and has it signed by their International Relations relay
- The RI liaison signs the form and sends it to the SRICR at outgoing@univ-reunion.fr
- The SRICR will contact the student again to inform them of available funding and to continue the administrative procedures (learning contract, insurance, bank details, etc.)
