Asia Exchange
Asia Exchange : A partnership signed between the University of La Réunion and the operator Asia Exchange allows students from the University of La Réunion to go on study mobility for a semester in one of the following six universities:
- Hanyang University (South Korea)
- Universiti Putra Malaysia (Malaysia)
- Shih Chien University (Taiwan)*
- Prince of Songkla University (Thailand)
- Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (South Korea)
- Kasetsart University (Thailand)
*Please note: mobility to Shih Chien University will be open under conditions.
Conditions for mobility with AsiaExchange
- be registered at the University of La Réunion the year preceding the mobility (because the application is made in year n-1) and during the year of mobility
- Complete the application form, making sure to provide all the required documents
- Select only exchange mobility (“semester abroad”) and not diploma courses (“full degree”), nor summer schools (“summer courses”)
- be selected by the selection committee of the University of La Réunion
Calendar
- Submission of applications: Candidates will have until February 14 to submit their application to undertake mobility in semester 2 of the 2025-2026 year.
- Appointment : candidates informed by email of the admissibility of their file by the International Relations Department
- Register : Once officially nominated by the University of Reunion, students will be able to begin their registration procedures on the websiteAsia Exchange taking note of the application deadlines which differ depending on the universities and the periods of mobility chosen.
- Course dates : The estimated course schedule (to be differentiated from registration dates) in the different universities is as follows (these dates are subject to slight modifications).

How to apply?
Le Application form must be completed online, printed and submitted to the DRI after validation by the international relay of the component to which it is attached, before February 14, accompanied by the following documents:
- Student cover letter written in English
- Letter in French from the department director, the educational manager or the exchange manager within the department giving the green light for the student's mobility in 2025-2026. You can use this model.
- Copy of student card
- Copy of university transcripts (or institutions attended)

Asia Exchange takes care of the coordination of students who apply for the program. This includes managing registrations and application files, support until departure (advice, answers to questions, communication with the host university) as well as sending the acceptance letter to students. ).
Students will make sure to choose their courses in consultation with their teachers at the University of La Réunion and by completing a study contract to formalize their credit carryover.
Once there, students will send to the DRI their arrival certificate, necessary to make the first payments of mobility-related aid.
At the end of the stay, students will return to the DRI:
- their end of stay certificate, if necessary to pay the balances of mobility-related aid
- the mobility report
- original transcripts
Financial help
Financial terms of participation for one semester
At the latest three months before their mobility, students will have to pay the following fees.
Please note, these costs do not include transport (plane ticket), visa, accommodation and daily living costs, which students will also have to cover.
Please note: mobility to the University of Shanghai in China will be open under conditions.
Mobility assistance files will be available at the DRI.
Other expenses to plan
In addition to the registration and application fees listed above, here is a list of expenses to expect:
Registration fees at the University of La Réunion (I do not pay for registration at the host university),
- Registration fees at the University of La Réunion (I do not pay for registration at the host university),
- Transportation to the host country (round trip)
- Accommodation and life on site
- Insurance and visa fees,
- The student must prove that he is able to cover daily expenses (accommodation and living on site).
Mobility aids
International mobility assistance grant from the Ministry of National Education :
Scholarship students based on social criteria can benefit from additional aid of €400/month over a period of minimum 2 to maximum 9 months.
Please note that this scholarship is not awarded automatically.
