Le Regional Exchange program UNiversity Indian OceaN – REUNION - – Part II (REUNION II) is a program of the University of Reunion which aims to strengthen inter-university partnerships in the Indian Ocean region through mobility.
This is a large-scale supervised mobility programme for the benefit of students and teaching staff and teacher-researchers at universities in the Indian Ocean.
The operation Regional Exchange UNiversity Indian OceaN – Part II (MEETING II) is co-financed by the European Union within the framework of the INTERREG VI-Indian Ocean 2021-2027 cooperation program, whose management authority is the Réunion Region.
General Information
The objective of REUNION II is to boost the field of international relations at our University by offering the possibility of financing internship and study mobility (provided for in the training courses of the University of Reunion from the second year of the degree) of our students in the partner establishments of the program.
It allows students of the University of Reunion to benefit from financial aid to undertake a study or internship mobility within a partner institution (see list below). The program also allows students from a partner university to undertake a study or internship mobility.

The 2025/2026 call for applications relating to outgoing student mobility offers the possibility of financing internship mobility (provided for in the training courses of the University of Reunion from the second year of the degree) of our students in partner establishments located in one of the partner countries of the program.
This call will allow 5 remaining places to be granted for the current academic year for the following countries: Australia, Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique and Seychelles.

The funded internship mobility lasts a maximum of 5 months. Mobility is reserved for students enrolled at the University of Réunion who are under the age of thirty. Mobilities must be carried out before July 15, 2026.
I prepare my mobility in advance
- Find an internship location among the listed establishments
- Get in touch with the Educational Manager of your training course as well as the International Relations Relay of your component to obtain their agreement.
- Have an internship agreement signed (in English if necessary) by your future internship supervisor at the host university, then by your teaching supervisors at the University of Reunion.
- Fill it out online form of " Application for mobility with the REUNION II Program_Mobility of outgoing students_Internship »The application form must be validated by the Educational Manager of the training course in which the student is registered at the University of Reunion.
- Submit your application with the International Relations and Regional Cooperation Department (before December 19, 2025 for 5-month internships or at least 3 months before the start of your mobility for shorter internships).
- Search for accommodation in the destination country.

During and after my mobility
Even abroad, I remain a student at the University of Réunion. I don't forget to re-register. Upon my return, supporting documents must be sent. to the International Relations and Regional Cooperation Department to validate my ECTS and obtain my final allowances:
- My mobility report
- Signed certificate of attendance
- Boarding passes (round trip)
- Copy of visa or passport page certifying my arrival and departure from the country
The student can benefit from financial aid from several partners. These aids can be combined.
If you are a CROUS scholarship student, you will continue to receive your grant during your mobility.
International Mobility Assistance Grant (AMI) from the Ministry of National Education and Higher Education: Scholarship students can benefit from additional aid of €400 per month over a period of 2 months minimum to 9 months maximum.
As part of the REUNION II program, selected students benefit from the following assistance:
- Round-trip plane tickets to the destination country (tickets must be purchased through the University of Reunion) PLEASE NOTE! Tickets purchased at your own expense are non-refundable.
- Installation assistance of €800 upon presentation of proof of accommodation on site for group 1 countries, Australia, the Maldives and the Seychelles.
- A monthly allowance which varies depending on the destination between €600 and €800 per month
