After a week of immersion in Quebec, the students from the IUT of Reunion Island involved in the 4th edition of the international study trip returned to the territory, marked by an academic, professional and human experience of rare intensity.
This large-scale project, bringing together five training departments — GEA, TC, GC-CD, HSE and GB — confirms the ambition of the IUT of La Réunion to train students capable of evolving in an international environment.
A busy week: more than 20 visits in 5 days!
Over the course of a single week (from March 23 to 29), the students followed a particularly intensive program, structured around more than 20 academic, institutional and professional visits: Universities and higher education institutions: University of Montreal, UQAM, McGill University, HEC Montreal, Polytechnique Montreal Research institutes and specialized structures: IRBV (Institute for Research in Plant Biology), Quebec Centre for Chemical Process Studies Businesses and organizations: CGI, communication agencies, accounting firms (Deloitte, Crowe), industrial and technology companies Technical and industrial sites: Colas Québec, quarry, hydroelectric dam, wastewater treatment plant Territorial immersion in Sherbrooke: Cégep de Sherbrooke, Interdisciplinary Institute for Technological Innovation (3IT), meetings with local students
A powerful and unifying human experience
Beyond the learning, this trip was a major collective experience: strengthened cohesion between students from different fields, development of autonomy and adaptability, cultural and professional openness.
