Presentation, objective(s):
The objective of the AVOCAT project is to develop and test a new configuration of a real-time numerical weather prediction model in the southwest Indian Ocean basin. This configuration, coupling the atmosphere, waves, and ocean, will aim to improve the forecasting of tropical cyclones and will also be evaluated for weather and wave forecasting at Réunion Island.
