Campus Santé research building

The University of Reunion has decided to build the premises of the UFR SANTE on the Terre Sainte campus. This project allowed the grouping of part of the health training provided by the Faculty of Health on the same site, and will facilitate the reception of future training.

Furthermore, the presence of research teams on the site, such as UMR DeTROI,
will allow synergy and constant interactions between students, researchers, patients
of the CHU Sud to advance research and teaching.
This new university site with a health and technical theme will promote exchanges and interactions
on the scale of the Terre Sainte Campus between entities around shared spaces such as Learning
center.
The health campus project is a large-scale project, phased over time, a real hub
of excellence, which brings together numerous actors around a territorial dynamic in Saint-Pierre.

This operation has the particularity of being part of a dynamic of development of the RDI field underway in the south and for which significant investments have already been made in terms of university construction and research.
The main objective is to have the equipment necessary for the development of the DéTROI health UMR in Reunion.
The ambition is to continue the rise of research, development, and innovation, with a view to renewing the labeling of this structure by INSERM and the University of Reunion.
Ultimately, this operation will lead to positioning Saint-Pierre as a true biomedical research hub by providing cutting-edge scientific instrumentation in connection with the redeployment of the DéTROI UMR.
The specific objective consists of the acquisition of structuring equipment essential to the operation of the research building initially planned as "first equipment" (laundry of the conventional animal facility, zebrafish animal facility, chemistry rooms) and allowing for a functional building.
