This project falls under the FEDER action sheet FA4.2.3 – Construction in support of Higher Education. 

Key dates:

• May 15, 2025: validation of the expert report by the Ministry;
• May 22, 2025: Validation of the project by the Board of Directors;
• July 17, 2025: notification of the MOE contract to CO-ARCHITECTES Sarl following a project management competition; 
• August 22, 2025: delivery of the APS phase;
• the 1^er October 2025: start of the APD for a period of 8 weeks;
• The APD will be delivered on November 26, 2025.
• On December 23, 2025, the notification of the draft ERDF agreement was sent. 

The bioclimatic gymnasium project is aligned with higher education and research strategies aimed in particular at supporting a site policy and is also consistent with the establishment's real estate strategy through its multi-year real estate strategy plan (SPSI 2018-2022) validated on July 6, 2020 by the central administration. 

This project involves the construction of a new generation sports complex on the Tampon university campus. It has been designed to be modular, with several complementary "functional building blocks" that work together to achieve the following objectives:

• To meet the educational needs of students on the site for the STAPS program, to develop new diplomas for the professions of Sports Training and Sports Management;
• To enable research activity in the science and technology of physical and sporting activities with the ambition of developing a "sports hub";
• To enable SUAPS to develop a sports activity open to all students and to organize sports competitions;
• To offer exemplary quality construction in environmental terms, particularly in terms of energy: positive energy building, energy production and storage, use of bio-sourced materials, natural cross ventilation;
• Enabling partnerships with outside entities, particularly the municipality of Tampon, but more broadly the CIVIS and CASUD urban communities.

From a functional point of view, this gymnasium, designed as an educational and research tool for sports programs, will be structured around four hubs:

• Multipurpose sports area;
• Welcoming and convivial spaces;
• Training and teaching spaces;
• Multi-sport area with panoramic views.

Furthermore, compared to the NZEB area, the project's energy consumption ratio is
23,6 kWhEP/m²/year. This ratio complies with the NZEB requirement of 24 kWhEP/m².year.

Regarding the financial aspect of the operation, the estimated cost is €15,000,000 including VAT (i.e., €13,824,885 excluding VAT).
