As part of the general renewal of the members of its Board of Directors, the University of La Réunion is launching a public call for applications for the appointment of four personalities from outside the establishment – ​​provided for in 3°) of II of Article L. 712-3 of the Education Code and by the University Statutes – who will sit in a personal capacity on its Board of Directors.

Eligibility criteria

Can apply:

  • A person assuming general management functions within a
  • business ;
  • A representative of employee representative organizations;
  • A representative of a company employing fewer than five hundred employees;
  • A representative of a secondary education establishment.

Important

In accordance with 3°) of point II of article L. 712-3 of the Education Code, at least one of these four personalities must be a former graduate of the University of La Réunion.
In accordance with Article D. 719-47-5 of the Education Code, the final choice of these four external personalities must take into account the gender distribution of the external personalities in order to guarantee parity between women and men within all eight external personalities who are members of the Board of Directors.

The mandate

The term of office of external personalities, members of the Board of Directors, is four years and runs from the first meeting for the election of the President of the University. All external personalities sit in their own right and have a deliberative voice on the Board of Directors and, as such, participate in the election of the President of the University. External personalities sit on a voluntary basis.

Terms of appointment

The four external personalities referred to in this public call for applications will be designated individually by a vote to take place on Friday, February 07, 2025.
The 22 members of the Board of Directors representing staff elected on December 12, 2024, as well as the user representatives elected on March 09, 2023, the 02 representatives of the Regional Council and the Departmental Council and the 02 representatives of research organizations sharing research units with the University of La Réunion will participate in this vote.

Conditions for submitting applications

The deadline for receipt of applications is set at WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 29, 2025 – 12:00 p.m. deadline (Reunion time).

The applications are:

  • either sent by email to the following address: elections@univ-reunion.fr
  • either sent by letter with acknowledgment of receipt to the following address:

    (In this case, the package must be received by Wednesday, January 29, 2025).
  • or filed at the following address: Legal and Institutional Affairs Department Moufia Campus – 15 avenue René Cassin CS 92003 – 97744 Saint-Denis CEDEX 9 – Central administration building – Building B, office B108, level – 1 (garden level) – office of the Legal and Institutional Affairs Department.

The folds must include:

  • An application form on plain paper specifying the contact details of the candidate (including a telephone number allowing the candidate to be contacted quickly);
  • A copy of a valid proof of identity (passport, national identity card, driving license or residence permit)
  • Any document establishing the capacity in which the candidate is applying (examples: extract from kbis, appointment order as head of EPLE, minutes of the union council, certificate from URSSAF, etc. this list is not exhaustive);
  • A resume ;
  • A cover letter;
  • If applicable, a legible copy of a diploma issued by the University of Reunion.
