On Monday, July 7, 2025, the Digital University of Reunion and the UFR Santé inaugurated a brand new multimodal classroom on the Terre Sainte “health” campus (room C10/C11).

Designed to meet the growing needs of hybrid teaching, this room marks an important step in the evolution of teaching practices at the university.

During this inauguration, Bérénice ROY-DORAY, Vice-President in charge of university hospital and territorial health policy and Dean of the UFR Santé and Christophe PORLIER, Vice-President in charge of digital technology, uses and artificial intelligence, recalled the ambition of this project: to offer a flexible, professional and intuitive environment, which allows teachers to deliver their courses in person, remotely or in hybrid mode with the same quality of experience.

The room is equipped with an Interactive Digital Whiteboard, motorized cameras, a 98-inch main screen, and two return screens. It allows for video capture, recording, and live streaming via web conferencing platforms, and can be adapted for a variety of uses, from lectures to conference broadcasts.
An adjoining video control room can accommodate a technical team for specific production needs.

Participants were able to discover these features during a demonstration led by Pascal MOUY and Vincent PABAN, before visiting the space in small groups.

This new space embodies the university's desire to innovate in its teaching methods, drawing on digital technologies to meet today's training challenges.
