The IUT of La Réunion marked an important moment in its history by officially renaming Amphitheater 150 to the Alex How-Choong Amphitheater. The ceremony took place on Thursday, September 4 at 12 p.m., in the presence of Teddy CADERBY, Vice-President of the Board of Directors in charge of General Affairs, Laurent Brault, Deputy Rector, and Jean-Bernard Maratchia, Regional Councilor, and continued with a time of conviviality and discussion.

This decision reflects the IUT's desire to pay tribute to Alex How-Choong, President of the IUT Council since its creation and a key figure in the socio-economic world of Réunion. Through his unwavering commitment, his vision, and his ability to unite, he has contributed to making the IUT a major player in higher education on the island.

Deeply moved by this tribute, Alex How-Choong said:

With its 150 seats, the amphitheater is a central place of academic and cultural life, now associated with a name full of meaning and inspiration.
