New Delhi, India – February 18 and 19, 2026 – The University of Reunion Island is participating in the High Level University and Scientific Meetings (RUSH) held in New Delhi, a major bilateral event aimed at strengthening academic and scientific cooperation between France and India.
Organised by the French Institute in India, RUSH brings together researchers, academic decision-makers and representatives of institutions around collaborative projects and strategic topics in innovation, research and academic mobility.
Within this framework, the University of Reunion Island is particularly highlighting the ILIADE project (Innovation through Plants and AI for India and France), a flagship project of the Franco-Indian Campus. This project is led by the University of Reunion Island, in partnership with the universities of Lyon 1, Lyon 2, and Poitiers, and four Indian partners: the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), the Central Institute of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants (CIMAP), the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), and the National Center for Biological Sciences (NCBS). ILIADE fosters the development of innovative scientific collaborations and the mobility of researchers and students between France and India, contributing to strengthening sustainable scientific partnerships between the two countries.
The University of Reunion's participation in RUSH illustrates its commitment to international collaborative research, the promotion of high-level scientific projects, and the strengthening of its global reach. These meetings also offer a strategic opportunity to develop new collaborations and exchange ideas with leading academic and institutional partners.
The participation of the University of Reunion Island in the High-Level Academic and Scientific Meetings in New Delhi illustrates our commitment to strengthening ties between France and India, in service of collaborative research excellence. The ILIADE project and the MIC India partnership help to open new opportunities for training, innovation, and mobility for our researchers and students.
