Always striving for renewal and innovation, the University of Réunion Island runs several programs promoting mobility to different regions around the world. Among them, the "Regional Exchange University Indian OceaN" - "REUNION" program, supported by the INTERREG VI Indian Ocean Operational Program of the Réunion Region, is the first regional university mobility program for this region.
For this year 2024-25, the REUNION program is getting a makeover. Its new version allows for the financing of the mobility of students and teaching and research staff within the 21 partner institutions from 9 Indian Ocean countries.

These are Comoros, Kenya, Mauritius, Madagascar, Mozambique, Seychelles, to which India, Australia and the Maldives have now been added. The programme, initially launched in January 2021, has attracted keen interest, allowing the allocation of 80 mobilities in total (including 58 for students and 22 for staff). Intended to send 43 students and 18 staff to
year 2024-2025, “REUNION” has become an essential mobility program on a regional scale.
