The IUT of Reunion hosts the IUT National Research Congress for the first time

This June 07, 2023, the IUT of La Réunion, a component of the University of La Réunion, had the pleasure of hosting the IUT National Research Congress for the first time on the Terre-Sainte campus. (CNRIUT)

The CNRIUT is the annual meeting of the IUTs. For three days, teacher-researchers, doctoral students and partners, local and national, will discuss their research work and their capacity for innovation within their institute.

This privileged moment of exchange between the different actors of the IUT marks a highlight of theIUT of Reunion, whose attractiveness in the region, due to its teaching, its pedagogy, its research and its innovation, no longer needs to be proven.

Anchored in its territory, the IUT of La Réunion promotes research as an essential element of the professionalization of students. Within the educational programs of University Bachelors of Technology, the implementation of varied teaching methods in different work spaces (technology platforms, laboratories within IUTs, universities or companies, Fablab) makes it possible to introduce students to the world of research. students

This first day began with an official opening in the presence of: 

  • Frédéric MIRANVILLE, President of the University of La Réunion,
  • Martial MARTIN, President of the Assembly of IUT Directors (ADIUT)
  • Béatrice SIGISMEAU, 2nd deputy mayor of Saint-Pierre and Vice-President of the Departmental Council
  • Jean-Pierre CHABRIAT, delegate to the Regional Council for Higher Education, research and energy transition, representing the President of the Réunion Region
  • Emeline K'BIDI, Constituency Deputy

The sequence continued with a round table on the particularity of Research, Development, and Innovation in Reunion and plenary sessions and workshops in the afternoon.

The IUT of Reunion

Created in 1994 as the only IUT in the Indian Ocean zone, the IUT of Reunion Island is a component which, despite its youth, has already established itself in Reunion Island. Popular with our baccalaureate graduates, its attractive and accessible BUT (University Bachelors of Technology) allows the training of middle managers in three years who are able to enter the local, national or even international job market.  

The professional qualities acquired during a university course are recognized and requested by companies: spirit of innovation, analysis, autonomy, curiosity, creativity, etc.
