The University of Reunion and the Judicial Court of Saint-Pierre are committed to the training and integration of law students

The Judicial Court of Saint-Pierre Pierre and the University of Reunion signed a partnership this Friday, March 23, as part of a common desire for information, training and professionalization of students who are orienting themselves towards professions in the justice and more particularly those of the Faculty of Law and Economics.

In the presence of Mr. Jérôme GARDODY, Vice-President of the Board of Directors in charge of training and student life, representing Mr. Frédéric MIRANVILLE, President of the University of La Réunion, Mr. Bertrand PAGES, President of the Judicial Court of Saint-Pierre and Madame Caroline CALBO, Public Prosecutor, the parties formalized their respective commitments and in particular:

  • Information for students on careers in justice: participation in the University career days
  • Participation of magistrates and civil servants in training: magistrates and civil servants of the Court will be involved in leading conferences relating to current events at the Court as well as in the various preparations for competitions (public service “Prepa Talents” training ,notably).
  • Internship offer: In order to contribute to the preparation and professionalization of students who wish to take competitive examinations for legal professions, short internships (less than two months) will be offered to students.
  • Mentoring: With the aim of allowing an exchange and professional discovery, in the interest of the student's professional orientation, the Judicial Court of Saint-Pierre may offer "Mentoring" to students registered at the Faculty of Law and Economics at the University of La Réunion in the third year of a law degree on the Tampon campus.
