Portrait of Perle BARRIERE

First of all, I have a great passion for travel. I love discovering new cultures, meeting people from different backgrounds, and exploring diverse landscapes.

At the same time, I love animals and am particularly interested in marine biology. It's a passion that allows me to understand and appreciate the richness of marine ecosystems, as well as the importance of their preservation.

Art is also one of my great passions. I particularly appreciate different forms of artistic expression, whether painting, sculpture, or photography. It inspires me and allows me to escape into my imagination.

I am also a sports enthusiast, in which I like to push myself and take on new challenges.

So much for my interests.

To better introduce myself, here is also a list of my passions and favorite activities, accompanied by a brief personal explanation:

  • Reading (an activity I didn't like as a child because of my dyslexia, but which I really enjoy today, now that I've learned to read properly).
  • Bodybuilding (a discipline that helps me build my self-confidence and improves my daily well-being).
  • Airsoft (a strategic and friendly activity that allowed me to meet people from various backgrounds).
  • Cocktail making (a creative passion that allows me to experiment with new flavors and sometimes surprise my loved ones with cocktails with questionable tastes!).
  • Trading (an intellectually stimulating activity that develops my analytical skills, improves my stress management, and frankly, it feels good when you make money!).
  • Video games (a passion that, since childhood, has allowed me to escape from reality and meet many enriching people).
  • Travel and expeditions (an activity that feeds my curiosity and continually pushes me to discover new horizons).
  • Sport driving (a passion combining adrenaline, control and driving pleasure).

Kelian FROMILHAGUE

3rd year STAPS degree – Faculty of Human and Environmental Sciences

My interests:

Above all, I am passionate about all kinds of sports. Whether in my area of expertise, bodybuilding, or team sports, I am interested in sports as a whole.

Of course, that's not the only thing that helps me thrive in life. I'm also very interested in popular culture, whether it's video games or reading light novels.

Added to this is the fact that I love learning and meeting new people.

My disability:

I am currently diagnosed with dysgraphia, dysorthographia, and dyslexia. This has never stopped me from pursuing the path I have wanted since childhood, thanks to my parents who supported me and allowed me to see specialists who helped me compensate for my weaknesses. Fortunately, I have naturally managed to compensate for my difficulties in writing with ease in speaking, which has often allowed me to avoid potential bad grades.

My professional project:

In terms of my academic background, I want to become a teacher after completing a Master's degree in Teaching, Education, and Training (MEEF). This desire to become a teacher comes from the fact that dyslexia, dysorthography, and dysgraphia are on the rise in schools. This pushes me to want to help students within establishments, just as I was helped. In addition, having these disabilities will allow me to better understand and support those who encounter the same difficulties as me.

As for my interests, what drives me the most is discovery and learning about life in general, like different spheres of work, but also during trips learning more about culture, religions, ways of working... I particularly like to travel for this reason.

In addition, I like going out with my friends to dance, and putting into practice the dancehall course that I practice at the university, I like mediation, it allows me to refocus, to relax, to sleep well and helps with self-development. And finally, I would say that I love taking photos and videos, sometimes as a souvenir, but also in the interest of capturing a message and being able to transmit it.

As for the future, I would like to move towards the profession of event project manager, but that is not a fixed idea.

I don't mind talking about my disability, I'm dyslexic.

I like sports and thrills. I also do cliff jumping (cliff jumping into a pool) and I love hiking.

Regarding my disabilities, I have no problem talking about them.

Regarding my disability, I am dyslexic, spelling and dysgraphic.

And regarding my professional project, I want to become a professional firefighter, a profession in which I am already setting foot as a volunteer firefighter.

Dyslexia:

In adults, in particular, there are difficulties in summarizing a story or a statement heard or read. People with dyslexia may also not understand certain jokes or idiomatic expressions. In addition to these symptoms, dyslexia in adults can manifest itself through:

  • difficulty concentrating;
  • a rejection of work meetings with the purpose of planning;
  • a feeling of being overwhelmed when filling out a long form;
  • an overreaction to one's mistakes;
  • strict personal rules and discipline;
  • a more visual and/or practical understanding;
  • significant suffering in the event of stress;
  • low self-esteem.

Dysorthography:

What is dysorthography in adults?

More specifically, dysorthographia is a specific spelling disorder that is often associated with dyslexia. For someone with dysorthography, spelling words is extremely difficult to master. This disorder therefore highlights a brain dysfunction that causes a deficit in written expression.

Dysgraphia

Dysgraphia is characterized by difficulty writing. There are several forms of dysgraphia, but what they all share is slow, illegible, and disordered handwriting. People with dysgraphia make a lot of effort to write a few words or lines, but the results are often disappointing.

Committed to the environment, I participate in many events contributing to the preservation of nature. As well as a plantation of endemic plants in the Makes such as olive wood, osto wood, pretty heart wood...

To combine my activist side with my interest in running, I participate in charity trails like the Odysséa, a sporting challenge against breast cancer, and the "Run for Them" race for endometriosis research. Recently, I've developed a taste for archery and ballroom dancing, which brighten up my daily life.

Ali MUSCALI

L3 History – Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences

My interests are sports, especially athletics, cooking, baking and reading.

I am dyslexic, which causes me problems in my schooling, especially when it comes to my writing. At secondary school, it wasn't a problem, but when I got to university, it got worse. We write a lot of essays, but despite my part-time work, I still have difficulties, and some teachers don't understand. Unfortunately, I know that later on, especially during competitive exams, my disability will remain a problem, but I don't get discouraged and I keep moving forward.

I would like to be a primary school teacher or a high school history teacher
