4th edition of the Lab'Tour

The University of Réunion and the Technopole de la Réunion organized the fourth edition of the Lab'Tour, Friday November 24 in Saint Pierre.

The main objective was to connect the university's research laboratories and local economic actors working on the theme of food, one of the priorities of the smart specialization strategy (known as S3).

Throughout the event, researchers, winners and industrialists discussed their fields of research, past cooperation and future opportunities.

Public research/private sector collaboration often makes it possible to unlock technological barriers but also, through innovation, to acquire certain competitive advantages. For researchers, it is a question of transferring their research to the territory of Reunion and in a logic of progress;

The event is also part of the logic of the University Innovation Center (PUI) “ VALIOTECH » supported by the University of La Réunion, the Technopole, the CIRAD and the IRD financed within the framework of France 2030, and of which
the objective is to promote innovation in Reunion Island and increase collaboration between the world of public research and the local economic fabric with a specific focus on the social economy
and united.

The Lab'Tour, a free public event, serves to promote the excellence of Reunion research, and the support of researchers/entrepreneurs thanks to public and private funding.
