A look back at the final of the ESIROI challenges

Tuesday, April 11, the final of the 7th edition of the ESIROI Challenges took place

Organized each year by ESIROI (Engineering School of the University of La Réunion), as part of the INCORE European Project (EIT HEI Initiative), this innovation competition brings together 4 teams of students - 4th year engineers in the school's three specialties: agri-food, building/energy and IT.

This year, ESIROI engineering students worked for 6 months to design the new permanent base of Port-aux-Français located in the Kerguelen archipelago. A showcase of French engineering, it had to respond to the challenges of sustainable development in a severely constrained environment.

At the end of the presentations, a winner was chosen from the TAAF'eurs group!

To designate the winning team, the Secretary General of the French Southern and Antarctic Lands, Gilbert MANCIET, was able to rely on a jury of experts composed of the Directorate of Technical Services of the French Southern and Antarctic Lands, the University of Réunion, NEXA (Réunion Region), the Technopôle de la Réunion, the Regional Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer (CRITT-CCI Île de la Réunion) and ADEME (Environment and Control Agency Energy).
Congratulations to everyone for the work done!
