The University of Reunion celebrates Europe!

AfterLaunch on May 6 of the DU Engineering of European projects in overseas territories, supported by the Ministry of the Interior and Overseas Territories in the presence of representatives of the Prefecture of Reunion and regional and departmental communities, the university is organizing this May 7 in partnership with the CRIJ on the Moufia campus a “ Happy Europe Day.”
On the program, games, charades and quizzes are offered to students and staff, which allow them to test their knowledge of the European Union while the opportunities offered by Europe are presented with in particular information on the program ERASMUS+ study or internship mobility for students and teaching or training for staff.

With nearly 53 students and staff on ERASMUS+ mobility, France is the leading country of origin for mobility under this program, reveals the latest Campus France report on the key figures for 000 mobility.

More than 28 students and staff came to France on Erasmus + mobility in higher education in 000, mainly from Italy, Spain and Germany. German students also constitute the European population most represented in the incoming mobility flow at the University of Reunion, ahead of the Belgians and the Swiss in particular. These 2022 countries are also found in the choice of French students who go on mobility as part of this program. The Spain destination is particularly favored by students of the University of Reunion. Belgium and the United Kingdom are the other most popular destinations.

The European “EU Careers student ambassador” program

Building on its proactive international policy, this year the establishment joined the European “EU Careers student ambassador” program. This program is implemented by the European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO), an interinstitutional service of the European institutions, in conjunction with the General Secretariat for European Affairs (SGAE), the Prime Minister's department, which plays an intermediary role. between EPSO and French higher education establishments.
 
This program allows each year nearly two hundred students from as many universities in the European Union to be trained and supported by EPSO to promote careers and competitions in the European civil service within their university and beyond. beyond that, via the organization of various events (workshops, video conferences, etc.).

Today, 23 French universities have a student ambassador. This is now the case for the University of Reunion, which is counting on Laura Drummel. A doctoral student in European law, she will help to raise awareness of this network alongside the 22 other French student ambassadors. The University of Reunion Island is the second overseas university, along with the University of the Antilles, to be represented within this network.
