Doctoral schools
At the University of La Réunion, research training has been provided, since 2000, by an Interdisciplinary Doctoral School (EDI).
With the 2010-2013 four-year contract, and for greater efficiency, EDI has given way to two Doctoral Schools in order to better respond to the specificities of the disciplinary fields of our establishment:
- the Sciences, Technologies and Health Doctoral School
- the Human and Social Sciences Doctoral School
The Doctoral Schools therefore have the mission of research training, each in their own disciplinary fields. They are responsible for the scientific policy of doctoral training.
As such, questions relating to registrations and validation of acquired knowledge in the 3rd cycle, the awarding of doctoral contracts, compliance with the thesis charter, and thesis defenses fall within their competence.
