Online tools
A key element of your digital tools at the university, you have an email account with an address of the form “numéroétudes@co.univ-reunion.fr”.
To access this box, the Virtual Office is your dedicated webmail. But you can also use your favorite email management tool/app...if you have configured it to!
Use your student mailbox
Go to your usual browser and go to monbureau.univ-reunion.fr. Before accessing the service, authentication via the CAS portal is required: you must enter your identifiers (student number and password).
Your student number – which can be found on your student card – and your password were provided to you when you registered: you received an email with a PDF attached containing your initial password.
For new university registrants, your computer account is automatically valid the day after your registration, and not the same day: be patient!
Import your mailbox
When you are connected to the Virtual Desktop, you must click on the “Messages” button to access the interface for managing your emails, if you are not already there.
You must have an application such as Gmail, Outlook, Mail, Spark, Courrier, Thunderbird, Mail, K-9 or other.
You must launch the software/application then go to its settings to add a “new account”.
Please note, depending on the tools, this title may be different, so remember to refer to the documentation for your software/application.
You must then enter what is asked of you:
- An account title (for example “UR Box”),
- An email address (your student email address, i.e. “your_student_number@co.univ-reunion.fr”),
- Other information like
- your identifiers (student_number and password),
- the type of access to your account (choose IMAP),
- address of the receiving and sending server (in both cases enter “monbureau.univ-reunion.fr”).
Configure your mailbox
By clicking on the “profile” button (button bar at the top right of the page), you have access to the BV settings.
Among these, the “Messages” section is dedicated to your email account as well as the BV webmail interface.
In the “General” section (“Automatic transfer” field), you can configure your university mailbox so that any message received is transferred to another mailbox, your personal email account for example.
Please note, this solution is not recommended because you will then respond to messages with your personal mailbox and not with your university email account!
Prefer to import your account to your favorite email management tool! (see “Import your mailbox” tab)
