Presentation:

International ambassadors are the faces of the establishment to international students. Supportive, empathetic, dynamic and dedicated, international ambassadors welcome and support new arrivals.

Missions:

Concerned about the needs of current and future students, these ambassadors are particularly requested during the start of the academic year (and sometimes a little before) to welcome newly arrived international students during the first two months of their installation. Their main missions are as follows:
– Support for the International Relay of the component and the International Relations Department for the reception of international students
– Contact with new entrants upon admission to answer their questions
– Welcome upon arrival
– Participation in Campus visits
– Participation in office hours to answer students’ questions
– Welcoming and supporting students in their new life and their installation
– Participation in events organized by the International Relations Department (Back to school days, international week, etc.)
– Support for these students in their administrative procedures (recovering their accommodation from CROUS, registering for courses, etc.)
– Organization of activities with student associations to create links between international and local students.
– Promotion of the Buddy System platform and competitions launched by the DRI
– Creation of inspiring articles for the DRI website and the University’s social networks

Target audience :

The international students whose student ambassadors will welcome are both students in an exchange program (Erasmus+, ISEP, BCI, PPI, etc.) and students on individual mobility (who have come to prepare a diploma at the University of Reunion). . Only new entrants are affected by this reception system.
