Description of the WEU

In France, the history of manga publication began in 1978 with the magazine Le cri qui tue, which did not meet with public success. The same year, the Récré A2 show broadcast Grendizer, an anime adapted from a manga by Go Nagai which was a dazzling success. These two situations show that before encountering the manga the French public first encountered the anime. In Japan, it is the popularity of manga which will subsequently lead to the production of anime adapted from manga.

It is this story that we will try to understand.
