Description of the WEU

Cinema, whether fiction or documentary, has raised social questions and led us to reexamine our relationship with the world. What is the purpose of anthropology if not precisely this relationship with the world, this "invention of life" specific to each culture?
Moreover, anthropology has in its history integrated cinema as a technique in its own right for the production of knowledge, giving rise to the branch of visual anthropology of which Jean Rouch is an illustrious representative and for whom making films, according to his famous formula, is "putting disturbing objects into circulation".
As for music, these particular sound objects, many anthropological works have shown that it is necessary to consider them as modes of relationship and action. Thus, by subscribing to this anthropological approach and grasping these art objects that are films and music as social agents in their own right, we will aim to analyze the action processes at work in their circulation and explore the diversity of the relationships they maintain with the imagination and social practices of Humans.
